Human Resources Consulting
Human Resources has been a passion of mine for many years. After 24 years, there’s not much I haven’t experienced in the various functions of Human Resources. The good news is that I am a continuous and lifelong learner, so if I encounter something not already in my arsenal, I dive right in and learn everything I can to provide accurate information to my clients!

I hold a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management (MSHRM), certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP), in addition to over twenty-four years’ experience in all areas of human resources.

I am a trusted and respected senior human resources professional with experience working for small, mid-sized and large companies in a variety of industries.

I am a national member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a member of the California Chamber of Commerce (CalChamber). I’m committed to staying current with the ever-changing landscape in human resources.

“Tragedy struck our business in September 2015 and we needed a knowledgeable Human Resources professional to help us. Susan Barr was referred to us and she turned out to be exactly what we needed. She worked closely with me on site for several months, identifying and prioritizing our needs. Susan audited all areas of human resources to make sure we were compliant and put systems in place to make sure I had a strong foundation to build upon. Susan willingly shares her knowledge with me and she is genuinely concerned with my success and the success of Neurosurgical Specialists, Inc. Although she assists remotely, Susan is very responsive and always meets my needs in any area of HR. I often get positive feedback from candidates she works with. I highly recommend Susan Barr as a Human Resources Consultant.”
